These terms apply to the Body Engineers mobile app and the trainer dashboard at dashboard.bodyengineers.app. By using either, you agree to them. Body Engineers is based in California, United States.
Body Engineers is not medical care
This is the most important section of this document.
- Body Engineers is a fitness and training platform. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Nothing in the app — including any program, exercise, or note from a trainer — is a substitute for advice from a qualified physician or other healthcare provider.
- Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program, particularly if you have an injury, a chronic condition, a heart condition, or are pregnant or recently postpartum.
- Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, dizziness, faintness, or pain that is sharp or unfamiliar.
- Recording an injury, a medical clearance flag, or a pain flag in the app does not mean a clinician has reviewed it.
Trainers are independent
Trainers using Body Engineers are independent professionals. They are not our employees or agents, and they are responsible for their own programming decisions, their own qualifications, and their own conduct. We provide the software they work in; we do not supervise their coaching.
Assumption of risk
Physical training carries an inherent risk of injury. By using Body Engineers you accept that risk and agree that you are responsible for training within your own limits, for the accuracy of the health information you provide, and for stopping when something hurts.
This is pre-release software
Body Engineers is in an early alpha. It may change substantially, may be unavailable without notice, and may lose data. Do not rely on it as the sole record of anything that matters to you.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older, and provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You may request deletion of your account at any time via bodyengineers.app/delete-account or the app's Settings screen. We respond within 30 days.
Acceptable use
Do not use Body Engineers to:
- Access anyone else's account or data.
- Upload unlawful, abusive, or harassing content.
- Probe, scan, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape or bulk-extract data from the platform.
Content and ownership
You keep ownership of the information you enter. You grant us the permission needed to store and process it in order to run the service and to make it visible to your trainer and gym as described in the Privacy Policy. The software, design, and content of Body Engineers remain ours.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms or that puts other users at risk.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app of any material change before it takes effect.
